Maya modules are packages that when installed in the Maya runtime makes available a set of nodes that can be arranged together to form different modules. Each node (or block) is analogous to a word in the English dictionary - just like arranging the same few words together can form millions of sentences with different meanings, the same few Maya nodes can be arranged together to do millions of different tasks.

For instance, installing the Spotify module from the Maya Store, let's you rearrange these nodes to make a Maya Skill. These nodes are available in the left sidebar (pallette) like this and can be dragged and dropped onto the workspace grid for use.
